PC Viewer Problems (Windows / Mac)

Installation blocked

• Windows: "Windows protected your PC" → click More Info → Run Anyway.
• macOS: "unidentified developer" → System Settings > Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Map not loading (blank GPS window):

update to the latest Viewer from the Download Center — we update frequently to keep pace with Google Maps security protocols.

Video playback issues (black screen / no sound)

• 4K models use the HEVC/H.265 codec. Windows users may need to install the "HEVC Video Extensions" from the Microsoft Store.
• Try playing the file in VLC Media Player to see if the issue is with the file or the Viewer.

SD card not recognized

• Make sure the card is not "Read-Only" (check the physical lock switch on the SD adapter).
• Try running the BlackVue Viewer as Administrator (right-click the icon > Run as Administrator).
