Installing Your Dashcam

Mounting and cable routing

  • Mount the front camera behind the rearview mirror so it doesn't block your view.
  • Use the included pry tool to tuck power and coaxial cables into the weatherstripping along the A-pillar.
  • Safety: never run cables across side-curtain airbags — always route behind the airbag housing.

Powering options

  • Cigarette lighter plug — simplest; records while driving.
  • Hardwiring to the fuse box — required for Parking Mode.

Hardwiring (3-wire cable, Black/Red/Yellow) — check your manual for which wire color corresponds to which function, as yellow and red can be interchanged between kits:

  • BATT+ → a fuse with constant power (e.g., hazard lights, interior lights).
  • ACC+ → a fuse powered only when the ignition is on (e.g., cigarette lighter, radio).
  • Black (GND) → a solid metal ground bolt on the vehicle chassis.

Battery pack setup (B-124X / B-130X / B-130A)

  • Simple install: plug the battery into the 12V auxiliary socket. It charges while you drive and powers the camera when you park.
  • Rapid-charge install: hardwire the battery to a 20A switched (ACC) fuse for higher-current charging — a full charge in about 50 - 90 minutes of driving.
