While car accidents, hit-and-runs and collisions (unfortunately) happen all the time, there is another sort of danger on the road everyone should be aware of!
BlackVue user Joaquin sent us the footage recorded on his BlackVue DR900X-2CH dashcam. He just exited on a freeway off ramp in Compton and approached the lights, when the car in front of him started behaving… strange, to say the least.
Scam attempt… twice in as many minutes
“We did not see him at first, and then he proceeded to try to do an insurance scam to have me hit him from behind!” Joaquin told us. “Sad the CHP (California Highway Patrol) passed us without seeing any of it.”
In the beginning Joaquin thought the driver was just after him… but then the rear camera of the BlackVue DR900X-2CH installed in his vehicle captured another car – this time a pick-up truck – the potential scam artist tried it on.
Fortunately nothing happened this time, but in case Joaquin did end up hitting the other driver’s car – he had proof it wasn’t his fault. It’s invaluable in situations like this one – because otherwise it’s difficult to prove you weren’t at fault in a rear-end accident.
And you? Don’t wait until AFTER something happens and get your BlackVue dashcam today here.
