Truck Drives Off Into A Ditch After Intersection Crash #CaughtOnBlackVue

This footage of an intersection crash was sent to us by a BlackVue user Eric.

Unavoidable crash

He was headed south in his truck, from Calgary (Canada) to Edmonton to pick up a load. As he approached an intersection driving at the speed limit, he noticed a car coming from the left. He tried to manouver right, but he knew right there he wouldn’t be able to avoid the crash.

The car collided and Eric’s truck lost steering, continuing into a ditch, airborne. As it hit the ground, the suspension broke and the momentum pushed the truck back onto the highway and across it, into the median. Thankfully, the other driver seemed okay, although bot cars had to be written off and Eric suffered from neck and shoulder injuries.

Reliable dash cam saves the day

Eric told us: “This was the second incident that having my BlackVue saved the day. I will continue using BlackVue as turned out to be very reliable. This camera was in service 24/7 for 4 years!!!!”

This accident was captured by an older, single-channel dash cam. BlackVue manufactures TRUCK versions of its dash cams specifically created for optimal performance in trucks – like the three-channel (front, waterproof IR back and interior cameras) BlackVue DR770X Box TRUCK model.
