Our Customer Ernesto shared this video captured by his BlackVue dash cam. The dash cam not only helped him prove that he was not at fault to the police on site, but also made the insurance claim process smooth and painless. While traveling to work, Ernesto was hit by a truck changing lanes without checking for their blind spot. The truck crashed into the concrete divider before stopping. At first, the other driver thought it was actually Ernesto’s fault!

Dash cam footage to the rescue

BlackVue user quickly downloaded the dash cam footage to his phone and they watched it together, he also showed it to the police. The other driver got a citation for unsafe lane change. The BlackVue dash cam footage also helped with the insurance claim. Initially, the truck driver’s insurance was trying to put partial blame on Ernesto, but after he sent them the video, they accepted 100% liability and paid to fix his car in full.
