Everyone knows to be extra careful driving at night, when the visibility is limited. But even when you are paying attention, some things just cannot be predicted, like the situation in this truly heart-stopping video, which was sent to us by a BlackVue user who prefers to stay anonymous.

An Unexpected Situation

He was driving down the main road in Asbury Park, NJ at night when suddenly a what appeared to be a toddler ran into the street, straight in front of his vehicle. There was no time to react. Thankfully someone grabbed the child (probably a parent or a relative) and held it back before it could run any further! You can hear the BlackVue user’s surprised voice in the footage (BlackVue dashcams record audio unless set otherwise) and no wonder! Because of the wide angle, the recorded images seems to be further than it was in reality. It was really a close call.
