Dash Cam Owners Australia recently uploaded a video of footage caught by BlackVue DR750S-2CH onto their YouTube channel.
It’s your usual hit and run (leave?) scenario – pick-up truck rears into the BlackVue user’s car parked there, the driver and the passenger of the truck check on the damage and simply walk away…
Except the two men were Sydney city council rangers and were on and about giving parking tickets!
Dash Cam Owners Australia posted a comment with an official statement from the city of Sydney:
We are aware of this regrettable incident and apologise to the vehicle owner. We understand the frustration that residents, visitors and business people feel when events like this occur. We will conduct a thorough investigation and speak to the staff involved. The vehicle owner has made contact with the City of Sydney to report the incident. We have spoken to the vehicle owner and will work to have this matter resolved as soon as possible. Staff receive regular health and safety training and are reminded to carry out their duties with care.”
The incident would had gone unnoticed if not for the BlackVue DR750S-2CH (available here), installed in the car and recording in Parking Mode.
