The most common type of hit-and-run occurs when the car owner is not around. For example, they go to a store and come back to their vehicle damaged…
This was not the case, though.
BlackVue user Leguyanais (pseudonym) sent us the video captured by the BlackVue DR590W-2CH dashcam installed in his wife’s car. She was leaving the store’s parking lot, keeping her distance with the vehicle driving ahead.
Unfortunately, the other car suddenly backed up, hitting Leguyanais’s wife car. The driver didn’t bother to get out and exchange their details or even assess the damage – they simply drove off! Thankfully, the BlackVue dashcam was recording the whole incident, capturing the culprit’s license plate with ease. This allowed Leguyanais to send the footage to his insurance company and file a claim.
