Serious Crash Caused By A Learner Driver #CaughtOnBlackVue

An error of judgement on the road can be costly!

Bad turn

Our Customer Rob shared the video recorded by his older BlackVue dash cam. He was approaching an intersection in a 60 km/h (around 37 mph) zone when a car suddenly appeared from the left, attempting to turn.

The car crashed into Rob’s vehicle. It turned out that it was a learner driver who was being supervised. Rob assumed it must have been a mistake on their part, due to night conditions. Thankfully, neither of the involved parties were severely injured, Rob sustained only some minor injuries.

No injuries, but…

Emergency services were called and the police administered drug/alcohol tests (no issues). Police advised the other driver would be reported for failing to give way.

The BlackVue dash cam showed the accident very clearly, and the footage was used as evidence in the insurance process. Unfortunately, the damage to Rob’s car was so extensive that it was deemed unrepairable and written off by the insurance company.

Don’t wait until AFTER something happens. You never know what awaits you on the road. Get your dash cam today here.
