A dash cam in your car can be extremely useful not only in the dreaded “he said, she said” accidents, but even when the situation (and the party at fault) is pretty obvious.

Collision shocks the driver

This anonymous submission for our ongoing #CaughtOnBlackVue event is footage recorded by an older BlackVue model. This BlackVue user’s daughter intended to make a right turn, signaled and slowed to a stop. As she waited for on-coming traffic to clear, the vehicle behind collided with her vehicle. In the video, we see distressed “what happened, what happened?” coming from the driver and her passenger.

Smooth insurance process

The details could be quickly checked thanks to the dash cam’s rear camera, which captured the vehicle behind failing to stop. At the last moment, the driver tried to avoid the impact, but the collision was inevitable. The damages to the BlackVue user’s vehicle (heavy damage to the bumper structure, among others) was estimated at £2000.
