A long-time BlackVue user sent us this dash cam footage of an accident he was involved in.
Rainy Day Rear-End Accident
The day was rainy, the roads wet – meaning longer stopping distance whean braking. BlackVue user slowed down to a stop in a stop-and-go traffic when the vehicle in front of him stopped. Unfortunately, the pickup truck behind him was going too fast and the driver started braking too late. They tried to swerve to avoid collision, but it was not enough – they crashed into the right rear side of the BlackVue user’s vehicle. As they later claimed, they were distracted and didn’t react fast enough.
Dash Cams Make Things Fair
While rear-end accidents are usually pretty straightforward when it comes to proving who’s at fault, it’s always valuable to have video evidence in the form of a dash cam video, specifically from the rear camera of a dual-channel dash cam, like in this case.
Here’s what the BlackVue user told us about his dash cam: “As for the value of the dash cam, we love it. My son is now 18 and has had the dash cam in his vehicle (the destroyed vehicle) since he received his driver’s license 2 years ago. It gives him a lot of confidence that the truth will be told by the dash cam and he doesn’t need everyone to remember everything and be truthful. We have heard stories of people changing their stories about wrecks and it is unfair. Dash cams make things fair.”
Don’t wait until AFTER something happens. You never know what awaits you on the road. Get your dash cam today here.
