BlackVue customer sent Jay us the footage of a rear-end accident he was inolved in, recorded on his dual channel BlackVue dash cam.

Stop-start traffic crash

Jay was driving in a stop-start traffic after finishing work for the day in Melbourne, Australia. The driver behind him continued although he was already stopped and crashed into Jay’s brand new Mazda 3 that he’d picked up from the dealer only 2 months earlier. The other driver claimed that there was “something in her eye”. They exchanged each other’s details for insurance.

Unusual front camera view

While the rear camera footage obviously shows the accident as it happened, the dash cam’s 4K front camera captured the ice coffee Jay was drinking splashing all over the windshield, steering wheel and the dash board. Fortunately enough it cleaned up well – Jay had interior protection applied by the dealer, which helped.

The insurance took care of the repairs, and Jay told us:
