Suspect in a parking garage
This footage, captured by the BlackVue DR970X-2CH LTE dash cam (recording in 4K), shows a man as he makes his way through an apartment parking garage. The BlackVue user told us that typically the garage is secured, but the entrance door was broken for a week or two before the incident so it was left open.
The suspect, his face obscured by a hoodie and covered by a scarf, was checking if the parking cars were locked. After unsuccesfully traying to break into the BlackVue user’s car, he moved into others, finally opening a white Lexus parked on the other side of the garage. He broke into multiple vehicles that night.
Dash cam footage sent to the police
The BlackVue user sent the footage recorded by his dash cam in Parking Mode to the police, who are currently investigating the case. The apartment building fixed the entrance door issue right after this incident.
“It’s a good reminder for people to lock their car doors – even in a garage!” BlackVue customer told us.
