It’s not always about being involved in an accident – sometimes what matters is witnessing something and reacting properly.

BlackVue user David was driving on a highway when he noticed a car, swerving dangerously in front of him. He decided to call 911, asking for DPS (Department of Public Safety). He was about to make the report when the other driver suddenly lost control of their vehicle, crashing into a wall.

The incident was captured by David’s BlackVue DR590W-1CH dashcam and later uploaded to his YouTube channel here. Since BlackVue dashcams record audio as well, David’s 911 call and initial report can be heard too. As David later explained, after exiting the vehicle, the driver walked to the side and dropped an alcoholic beverage container about 50 feet down to the freeway shoulder below. When he finally talked to David, he claimed his tire blew out.
