Eyes on the road! Or you might end up in a situation like this…
BlackVue user (who prefers to remain anonymous) shared this video of a rear-end accident he was involved in. He was hit from behind by a SUV, and as shown in the video, the damage to the back of his vehicle was quite significant.
The sun visor was already down…
The lady who hit him claimed that the sun was in her eyes and she was moving the sun visor when the accident occured. However, the dash cam footage revealed that her sun visor was already down at that time, and that she wasn’t paying attention to the road – she was on her phone. The footage also showed that the BlackVue user was still moving when she hit him.
“Her insurance was quick to settle the medical and damage claim. It took 45 days in the collision center to repair my car.” BlackVue user told us.
Please note that this footage was recorded by an older BlackVue model, with rear camera recording in HD (720p). New dual-channel BlackVue dash cam models, such as the DR970X-2CH Plus, come with a full HD (1080p) rear camera.
