Hit while parked

Melodia’s car was parked and she was away from it when it was hit by another vehicle, apparently attempting a U-turn. The culprit didn’t leave a note for the victim and left the scene. Thankfully, Melodia’s 3-channel BlackVue dash cam was recording in Parking Mode. She checked the footage and was able to find the other driver.

Who’s lying?

When contacted, the driver tried to claim that he didn’t know that he hit something. It turned out to be a lie – in the footage we can see him stop in the distance, get out of his vehicle and check it for potential damages!

Thanks to the dash cam footage the insurance claim process was a breeze for Melodia – everything was paid for by the other party’s insurance, including the repairs (fender, PPF) and a rental car.
