New firmware available for the following BlackVue dashcam models:
MODELS CONCERNED:
-
- DR750S Series (DR750S-1CH, DR750S-2CH)
- DR650S Series (DR650S-1CH, DR650S-2CH, DR650S-2CH IR, DR650S-2CH TRUCK)
- DR590 Series (DR590-1CH, DR590-2CH)
WHAT’S NEW:
DR750S Series (version 1.004) and DR650S Series (version 1.011):
These new versions primarily targets Cloud users with the Live Auto-upload feature. This feature provides real-time cloud backup of the Event recordings (impact and manually triggered). Handy when recordings on the SD card are lost/damaged or the dashcam is stolen.
- Added Live Auto-upload support (with BlackVue App version 2.68 and higher). This new function, currently in beta, lets your dashcam save instantly a live stream to the Cloud when an Event is triggered (by impact or manually).
To activate it in the BlackVue App, log into your Cloud account > Account settings > Switch Live Auto-upload ON.
To further configure Live Auto-upload settings, go to BLACKVUE CLOUD > Tap the ” ⋮ ” next to your dashcam’s name (the dashcam must be online) > Live Auto-upload settings.
Once a Live Auto-upload recording is saved in the Cloud, you can access it this way: BLACKVUE CLOUD > Tap your dashcam’s icon or name > Live Auto-upload footage. - Improved Wi-Fi connection process.
DR590 Series (version 1.003):
Following the release of the new DR590W Series, this update adds stability improvements and a new Extreme Mode (25Mbps) for the DR590-1CH.
- Stability improvements (for both DR590-2CH and DR590-1CH).
- New Extreme Mode support (DR590-1CH only).
Extreme Mode records at a 25Mbps bitrate, which brings the image quality and video file size higher than the Highest setting (12Mbps). As a result you will get about half the recording time you would get with Quality setting set to Highest. Increase in quality will be most apparent in scenes with a lot of detailed such as roads lined with trees.
Important:
Make sure to use the latest versions of the BlackVue Viewer and App for full compatibility when installing a new firmware version.
How to upgrade:
Go to the DOWNLOADS page to access the latest firmware and installation instructions.
With DR750S and DR650S, you can also use the BlackVue App to download the firmware to your mobile device and do a Firmware Over-The-Air upgrade via the BLACKVUE WI-FI menu.
