Driver Lies To Avoid Liability #CaughtOnBlackVue

This video and story sent to us by a BlackVue user shows the importance of having a dash cam footage in case of an emergency!

Driver tells different story than video

BlackVue user Justin was driving on US-40 when a car coming from the left collided with the side of his Jeep. Right after the accident the other driver asked the BlackVue user “you didn’t see me?!” and the proceeded to to lie to their insurance company to avoid liability. But that’s not all. It turns out that the Buick driver just got his vehicle a couple of weeks ago and registered it in his aunt’s name with a historic registration (so he could bypass a state inspection). The vehicle was only allowed to be driven to car shows or repair shops, the driver was going to neither. He was also arrested a year ago for driving without a license.

Video posted on Reddit

Unfortunately, the insurance (after taking into account both sides’ stories) said they can’t establish who’s at fault. Everything was captured on BlackVue dash cam though. Justin is now in the process of sending them the footage so they can determine the party at fault. The video was also uploaded to Reddit among other places, and the users were impressed by the sky captured on the footage (4K image quality thanks to the BlackVue DR900X-2CH Plus dash cam).
