Accident in front of a hospital

This footage was provided by our Customer Mark, who was involved in an accident a few years back. He was on a one-way street, waiting for a double parked car to move so he could pass. But then, the car just backed into his vehicle!

Ironically, Mark was there to pick up his father, who was a victim in another car accident, from a hospital. The other driver at first tried to claim that it was Mark who rear-ended him. Then, when Mark told him that he got everything on his BlackVue dash cam, the other driver changed his tune and said he just tried to park (there were no parking spots available there) and that he didn’t hear Mark’s horn. As a matter of fact, Mark saw him using his cellphone at the time of the accident.

Uncooperative driver

After he refused to settle for the amount Mark proposed for the damage, Mark called the police. Meanwhile, the other driver simple left the scene. In the end, he was given three tickets: for leaving the scene of an accident, backing up on a one way street, and using a handheld device while driving.

“On my car there was a cracked headlight, bent fender and cracked front bumper. The parts cost much more than I estimated and it was a higher repair rate, but thankfully the BlackVue dash cam footage made the insurance claim process much smoother. They recognized the other driver to be 100% at fault.” Mark told us.
