Don’t count on another driver leaving you a note behind one of your wipers when they hit your car while you’re away. Unfortunately, it’s bettre to be prepared for the glum reality – that not everyone is that honest.
Our Customer Chris shared these videos he captured on his newly installed BlackVue dash cam. He just put the dash cam to use three days prior to the incident. His car was parked on a residential street when a black Peugeot backed up into his vehicle – an Mercedes E-class.
The other driver even exited the car to check for the damage… before taking off as if nothing happened. In the video, we can hear the Live View turning on as Chris checks on his Mercedes after getting an impact notification.
But it didn’t end there – the culprit came back the very next morning and… backed into Chris’ car again! Just as before, he simply decided to run away without leaving as much as a note with his contact information.
Thankfully, everything was captured by the BlackVue dash cam and Chris sent the footage to his insurance company. They sent the bill for the damages directly to the other driver.
“The whole bumper was redone. So in just 3 days of ownership, the dash cam had already paid for itself by getting several damages covered for me, so it was well worth the money. I feel a lot safer now parking near my home, as I have evidence if anything happens.” Chris told us.
