Dog rescuers to the rescue

The video sent to us by the BlackVue user Jim is heartstopping and heartwarming at the same time. Jim’s BlackVue DR750S-2CH dashcam (you can buy the upgraded X model here) caught an usual scene.

A small, white dog was running frantically on a busy freeway! The situation was very dangerous – many of the passing cars barely missed the frightened chihuahua. One of the cars even stopped, trying to contain the animal.

But here is the twist: Jim and the partner he was driving with are a part of a dog rescue group called Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue. They immediately decided to try to catch and save the dog.

A successful operation

As you can see in the video, their rescue operation ended successfully. It was later discovered that the dog was microchipped – her name was Tinker and she had an owner in San Bernardino, California. The owner didn’t even know the dog had escaped through an opening in the fence while she was in the hospital for an emergency surgery for her husband.

The whole incident was reported on local TV news.
