BlackVue user and his friend were on their way home when they witnessed a serious accident.

Intersection known for crashes

According to the BlackVue user, this particular patch of the road (an intersection of the (Wanneroo Road and Yanchep Beach Road in Western Australia) is well-known for its accidents. The friend he traveled with is a volunteer firefighter and confirmed that he assists on accidents there all the time.

They were stopped at the intersection when the incident occured. The Mazda (car from the right) was travelling north along Wanneroo Road and the white pickup truck was slowing down to turn down Yanchep Beach Road. The driver in the truck probably thought that the Mazda was also turning down Yanchep Beach Road.

Dash cam footage helpful to police

Fortunately there were no major injuries, although the Mazda driver had to be taken to hospital. Apparently, she had only purchased and picked the car up from the dealer a couple of hours prior and was heading up north for ba birthday party. The BlackVue user and his friend got out of the car to provide assistance, thet also called emergency services.

“While waiting we also directed traffic as it was a major road. The footage was useful as the police required it for evidence to determine who was at fault.” The user told us.
